Starting with small-scale prototypes in their warehouse, LUSH Homes meticulously refined its system to meet rigorous standards. The breakthrough came this year with the first fullscale home in Milwaukee, followed by sustainable builds in Langley, Cedarburg, Green Lake, and more in Milwaukee. “Our Milwaukee project is more than just a house; it’s proof that eco-friendly construction can be beautiful and cost-effective,” says RJ. These projects highlight LUSH’s ability to combine efficiency with sustainability, drawing attention fromadvocates at the local level up to the national economic council at the White House as an economic model that can be scaled across the nation. The Langley project similarly demonstrated the use of sustainable materials and energyefficient designs. “Each project builds on what we’ve learned,” RJ emphasizes. He underscores the company’s motto, which is ‘Rethinking how we build homes.’ Living up to that motto means continually evolving with every build. Some of the key differentiators of the LUSH systems are: The whole framed structure is built out of ¾ plywood and assemble to the sheeting with a rubber malt.
